Erin Winsor
Executive Director
Erin Winsor is a Dementia and Arts Advocate, Certified Dementia Care Provider, Executive Director and Administrator, Artist Facilitator, Musician, Actor, Adjudicator, Writer, and End-of-life Doula (in training).Â
She is a graduate of Sheridan College: Music Theatre Performance Program, College of the North Atlantic: Executive Administration Program, and Dementia Solutions CDCP Program. Erin has worked in a variety of care settings such as a Child and Youth Care Worker, a Private Home Care Worker, and a Music Coordinator at a local long-term care home.Â
Erin has remained active in Newfoundland theatre since graduating in 2013; she has worked with companies such as Rising Tide Theatre, Spirit of Newfoundland, and TaDa. Erin has teamed up with The Singing Legionnaires on multiple occasions to support their ongoing participation in the community. For fun, Erin is very involved in sports such as volleyball, soccer, softball, and squash!
Erin is very passionate about the work she does with The Arts and Aging Network and is grateful to use her skills as an artist to make a positive impact on people's health and to help raise awareness and decrease stigmas of aging and dementia. She has the rare skill of building a special rapport with older adults and children. She hopes to continue to bring her love of the arts into their lives to build creativity and encourage happiness and engagement.
