What is The Old School Bus?
The Old School Bus has been lovingly retrofit into a programming space designed to bring people together. Make art, paint the bus, sing with us, or play a game from our collection!
Our participatory programming makes it possible for the young and old alike to take part and enjoy being creative together. Self-led expressions like letter writing, magnetic poetry and coloring are available on board and we are open to tailoring the bus visit to your community's particular needs.
Our bus is accessible via a lift and pending weather conditions some programming can happen outside of the bus.
What are the benefits of this program?
Intergenerational arts opportunities can:
⬇️ Diminish feelings of isolation or loneliness
⬆️ Increase self esteem and confidence
They can also contribute to better physical and mental health, and maintain wellness overall.
Why it Matters
The Old School Bus removes barriers to participation by bringing arts programming directly to where people live. By meeting communities where they are, the program supports connection, creativity, and inclusion — especially in places where access can be limited.

What Participants are Saying
"Well, I've seen a lot in my day, and I even drove a school bus myself, but now I've never seen anything like this!"
- Daisy, Bus participant
